The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) notifies all regulated entities, including banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, money changers, stock dealers, non-profit organizations, real estate developers, precious metal dealers, trust and company service providers, lawyers, notaries, accountants, and other authorized institutions, regarding the Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Act, 2013. This circular informs recipients that the Act, passed by the National Parliament on June 11, 2013, and assented to by the President on June 12, 2013, has been published in the Bangladesh Gazette and has expanded the reporting obligations and responsibilities of reporting entities. The BFIU directs these entities to ensure compliance with the Act's provisions and to access the full text for download via the Bangladesh Bank website.

To: Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer / Head of Institution All Banks, Financial Institutions, Insurers, Money Changers, or Authorized or Authorized Value Transfer Companies or Institutions, Any other institution operating with the permission of Bangladesh Bank, Stock Dealers and Stock Brokers, Portfolio Managers and Merchant Bankers, Security Custodians, Asset Managers, Non-profit Organizations/Institutions (NPOs), Non-Governmental Development Organizations (NGDOs), Cooperative Societies, Real Estate Developers, Dealers in Precious Metals or Stones, Trust and Company Service Providers, Lawyers, Notaries, Other Legal Professionals, and Accountants.
Regarding the Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Act, 2013.
The Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Act, 2013, which was passed by the National Parliament on June 11, 2013, to further amend the Anti-Terrorism Act, 2009, received the assent of the Honorable President on June 12, 2013, and was published in the Extra Edition of the Bangladesh Gazette for the information of the general public. With the enactment of the aforementioned Act, the responsibilities and duties of reporting entities have been expanded. To facilitate compliance with the rules of the said Act and to inform all concerned parties, the said Act has been uploaded on the Bangladesh Bank website, which can be downloaded from the following web link: https://www.bb.org.bd/en/antiterrorism/act.pdf.
