BM 1223 - 280th Anniversary of Al Busaid Dynasty
The Central Bank of Oman has issued two commemorative coins in gold and silver to mark the 280th Anniversary of the Al Busaid Dynasty. These coins are designated as legal tender at their face value. All banks operating in the Sultanate of Oman are required to accept these coins when presented by the public.

The Central Bank of Oman is pleased to issue two Commemorative Coins in Gold & silver on the occasion of the 280th Anniversary of Al Busaid Dynasty (1744 - 2024) on October 2025. Each Coin bears a colored portrait of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and other elements.
These commemorative coins are legal tenders for their face value and all Banks should accept them when presented by the public.
