Board Resolution No. 024/2026

BOARD BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 24/2026 SUBJECT: TREASURY MANAGEMENT - APPROVE EXCEPTION TO THE APPLICATION OF THE FEE CONTAINED IN THE "TABLE OF FEES FOR SERVICES" OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA FOR THE 2026 MANAGEMENT PERIOD.

VIEWED: The Law 1670 of October 31, 1995, of the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB). The BCB Statute approved by Board Resolution No. 95/2022 of October 6, 2022. Board Resolution 192/2025 of December 31, 2025, which approves the Table of Fees for Services and Table of Fines of the BCB for the 2026 Management Period. Report BCB-GTES-SAMM-DAMM-INF-2026-19 of March 13, 2026, from the Treasury Management (GTES). Report BCB-GAL-SANO-DLBCI-INF-2026-52 of March 13, 2026, from the Legal Affairs Management (GAL).

CONSIDERING: That Law No. 1670 in its article 54, subsections a) and q), establishes that it is the responsibility of the Board to issue rules and adopt general decisions that are necessary for the BCB to fulfill the functions, competencies, and powers assigned to it by the Law, those indicated by the aforementioned Law, and those necessary for the fulfillment of its functions.

That the BCB Statute in numerals 1) and 3) of its article 5 provides that its Board has normative competence to issue specialized rules in the fields assigned by Law and technical competence for the formulation of policies and the application of instruments that allow it to fulfill its object. In numerals 1) and 4) of its article 10, it determines that the Board has the powers to approve general decisions and issue rules that are necessary for the BCB to fulfill the functions, competencies, and powers assigned to it by the Law and to set the table of fees that the BCB must charge for the services it provides.

That by Board Resolution No. 192/2025, the BCB Service Commission Table for the 2026 Management Period was approved, which contemplates in its point 19 the fees applicable to the daily withdrawal of cash in national currency from the BCB vault.

CONSIDERING: That through report BCB-GTES-SAMM-DAMM-INF-2026-19, GTES concludes that the application of the temporary exception of Point 19 of the BCB Service Commission Table is technically viable, as it will facilitate Financial Intermediation Entities to exchange banknotes of the Bs50, Bs20, and Bs10 denominations, thereby contributing to their normal circulation in the national economy.

That through report BCB-GAL-SANO-DLBCI-INF-2026-52, GAL concludes that the approval of the temporary exception to the application of point 19 of the "Table of Fees for Services of the BCB" for the 2026 Management Period is legally viable as it does not violate the current legal framework, therefore, it corresponds to the BCB Board to consider its approval in accordance with what is established in article 54, subsections a) and q) of Law No. 1670 and article 10, numerals 1) and 4) of the BCB Statute.

THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA RESOLVES:

Article 1.- Exceptionally and for a period of thirty (30) calendar days computable from the entry into force of this Resolution, the application of the fee established in point 19 of the Table of Fees for Services of the Central Bank of Bolivia, approved by Board Resolution No. 192/2025 of December 31, 2025, is exempted in cash withdrawals of the Bs50, Bs20, and Bs10 denominations.

Article 2.- This provision shall enter into force from March 13, 2026.

Article 3.- The Presidency and General Management are charged with the execution and compliance of this Resolution.
