BOARD OF DIRECTORS BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 26/2026 SUBJECT: TREASURY MANAGEMENT - MODIFY THE REGULATION FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF CURRENCY MATERIAL.

HAVING REVIEWED: Law No. 1670 of October 31, 1995, of the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) and its modifications. Board Resolution No. 106/2021 of September 30, 2021, which approves the Regulation for the Administration of Currency Material and its modifications. Board Resolution No. 95/2022 of October 6, 2022, which approves the Statute of the BCB. Report BCB-GTES-SAMM-DAMM-INF-2026-21 of March 13, 2026, from the Treasury Management (GTES). Report BCB-GAL-SANO-DLBCLINF-2026-54 of March 13, 2026, from the Legal Affairs Management (GAL).

CONSIDERING: That Law No. 1670 in its Article 10 provides that the BCB will exercise exclusively and inalienably the function of issuing the monetary unit of Bolivia, which is the "Boliviano," in the form of banknotes and metallic coins. In its Article 44 and in subsections a), m), and o) of its Article 54, it determines that the highest authority of the BCB is its Board of Directors, which has the attributes to issue norms and adopt general decisions that may be necessary for the BCB to fulfill the functions, competencies, and powers assigned to it by the Law; to authorize and supervise the printing, issuance, and destruction of banknotes and the minting and withdrawal of coins within the norms established by the Law; as well as to approve, modify, and interpret the Statute and Regulations of the BCB, by two-thirds of the votes of all its members, without the need for any additional administrative act.

That the Statute of the BCB in numerals 1), II), and 30) of its Article 10 establishes that its Board of Directors has the attributes to approve general decisions and issue norms that may be necessary for the BCB to fulfill the functions, competencies, and powers assigned to it by the Law; as well as to approve the printing, issuance, and destruction of banknotes and coins; and may approve, modify, and interpret the Statute and Regulations of the BCB.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS 112. B.D. No. 26/2026

That the Regulation for the Administration of Currency Material of the BCB in subsection a) of its Article 1 determines that its object is to regulate the deposit, processing, and withdrawal of currency material, arising from operations carried out by the Public Banking Entity and Financial Intermediation Entities.

CONSIDERING: That through report BCB-GTES-SAMM-DAMM-INF-2026-21, the GTES concludes that the modification of Article 4 of the Regulation for the Administration of Currency Material of the BCB is technically viable as it will contribute to preserving the population's confidence in the legal tender banknotes of all series.

That through report BCB-GAL-SANO-DLBCI-INF-2026-54, the GAL concludes that the approval of the modification of the "Regulation for the Administration of Currency Material" is legally viable as it does not violate the current legal framework, therefore it corresponds to the Board of Directors of the BCB to consider its approval in accordance with what is established in Article 54, subsections a), m), and o) of Law No. 1670 and Article 10, numerals 1), 11), and 30) of the Statute of the BCB.

THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA RESOLVES:

Article 1.- Modify paragraph III of Article 4 of the Regulation for the Administration of Currency Material as follows:

SAYS: "Article 4.- (Deposits). (...) III. Deposits of valid banknotes of Bs10 and Bs20 may be made, with prior written authorization from the GTES."

SHOULD SAY: "Article 4.- (Deposits). III. Deposits of valid banknotes of Bs10, Bs20, and Bs50 from the Series B of the New Family of Banknotes may be made."

BOARD OF DIRECTORS //3. B.D. No. 26/2026

Article 2.- The modifications will enter into force as of March 13, 2026.

Article 3.- The Presidency and General Management are charged with the execution and compliance of this Resolution.
