Board Resolution No. 143/2020

The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Bolivia approves the 2021 Service Commission Table and the 2021 Fine Table. These tables establish the fees for banking and financial services to cover operational costs and the monetary penalties for regulatory infractions for the 2021 fiscal year.

BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 143/2020

SUBJECT: INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT – APPROVES THE TABLE OF COMMISSIONS FOR SERVICES AND THE TABLE OF FINES OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA FOR THE 2021 FISCAL YEAR.

VISTOS:

Law 1670 of October 31, 1995, of the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB).

The Statute of the BCB approved by Board Resolution No. 128/2005 of October 21, 2005, and subsequent modifications.

Board Resolution No. 152/2019 of December 3, 2019, which approves the Table of Commissions for Services and the Table of Fines of the BCB for the 2020 fiscal year.

The Report of the International Operations Management BCB-GOI-SOEXT-DOCC-INF-2020-12 of December 2, 2020.

The Report of the Legal Affairs Management BCB-GAL-SANO-DLBCI-INF-2020-132 of December 3, 2020.

CONSIDERING:

That according to article 54, subsection n) of Law No. 1670, it is the responsibility of the Board of Directors to formulate policies regarding the internal management of the BCB, supervising their execution.

That according to article 11, numeral 45) of the BCB Statute, the Board of Directors has among its powers the authority to set annually the Table of Commissions to be charged for the services it provides.

That the International Operations Management, according to Report BCB-GOI-SOEXT-DOCC-INF-2020-12, states that the commissions charged by the BCB for the provision of banking and financial services are intended to cover their respective operational costs.

That as expressed in Report BCB-GAL-SANO-DLBCI-INF-2020-132, in the opinion of the Legal Affairs Management, the draft Tables of Commissions for Services and Tables of Fines of the BCB for the 2021 fiscal year do not contravene current legal regulations, being the competence of the Board of Directors of the BCB to consider their approval in accordance with what is established in article 54 subsections a) and n) of Law No. 1670 and articles 11 numeral 45), 24, and 26 of the BCB Statute.

THEREFORE,

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA
