BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 223/2015

SUBJECT: INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT - APPROVES THE TABLE OF COMMISSIONS FOR SERVICES AND THE TABLE OF FINES OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA FOR THE 2016 MANAGEMENT PERIOD.

VISTOS (VIEWED):

  • Law 1670 of October 31, 1995, of the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB).
  • The Statute of the BCB approved by Board Resolution No. 128/2005 of October 21, 2005, and subsequent modifications.
  • Board Resolution No. 175/2014 of December 2, 2014, which approves the Table of Commissions for Services and the Table of Fines of the BCB for the 2015 management period.
  • Board Resolution No. 022/2015 of February 3, 2015, which modifies the administration commission for the RAL Fund in national currency.
  • The Report from the International Operations Management BCB-GOI-INF-2015-18 of December 2, 2015.
  • The Report from the Legal Affairs Management BCB-GAL-SANO-INF-2015-528 of December 3, 2015.

CONSIDERING:

  • That according to Article 54, subsection n) of Law No. 1670, it is the attribute of the Board of Directors to formulate policies regarding the internal management of the BCB, supervising their execution.
  • That according to Article 11, numeral 45) of the Statute of the BCB, the Board of Directors has among its powers the authority to set annually the table of commissions to be charged for the services it provides.
  • That the International Operations Management, according to Report BCB-GOI-INF-2015-18, states that the commissions charged by the BCB for the provision of banking and financial services are intended to cover their respective operating costs; therefore, it is necessary to periodically adjust these commissions to align them with current market conditions.
  • That as expressed in Report BCB-GAL-SANO-INF-2015-528, in the opinion of the Legal Affairs Management, there is no legal impediment for the Board of Directors to consider the approval of the Tables of Service Commissions and Fines of the BCB for the 2016 management period.

THEREFORE,

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA

RESOLVES:

Article 1.- Approve the Table of Commissions for Services and the Table of Fines of the Central Bank of Bolivia for the 2016 management period, which forms part of the present Resolution as an annex, and which will enter into effect from January 4, 2016.

Article 2.- From January 4, 2016, Board Resolutions Nos. 175/2014 and 022/2015 are repealed, as well as all provisions contrary to this Resolution.

Article 3.- The Presidency and General Management are charged with the execution and compliance of this Resolution.
