Branch outside the Netherlands

Payment processing service providers with a registered office in the Netherlands must obtain prior approval from De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) to operate a branch outside the Netherlands for customers not belonging to the same group. DNB will grant approval within three months of receiving the application if the requirements laid down by or pursuant to order in council are fulfilled, unless the agent's business conduct or financial position is deemed inadequate.

A payment processing service provider which has its registered office in the Netherlands and intends to carry on its business from a branch located outside the Netherlands for a customer which does not belong to the same group as the agent may do so only after De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) has approved this intention.
