The Bangladesh Bank directs all scheduled banks operating in the country to use the official theme for International Women's Day 2026, "Today's Steps, Tomorrow's Justice: Ensure the Rights of Women and Girls," in all events and activities organized to mark the occasion. This directive is issued under the powers conferred by Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991.

We would like to draw your attention to the relevant matter that the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs has taken necessary preparations to celebrate International Women's Day, 8 March 2026, nationwide with due solemnity. The theme for the day this year is as follows:
Bengali: "Today's Steps, Tomorrow's Justice: Ensure the Rights of Women and Girls"

You are hereby directed to take necessary arrangements to use the aforementioned theme in all events and activities organized on the occasion of the said day.
