There is a need for adequate female-friendly washrooms for female officers/staff working at the Head Offices, Regional Offices, and various branches/sub-branches of scheduled banks, as well as for visiting women seeking services. Due to the lack of an adequate number of female-friendly washrooms in the workplace, female officers and visiting women are facing difficulties, which is a major obstacle in creating a gender-friendly environment in the workplace.

2. In this regard, you are hereby instructed to construct healthy female-friendly washrooms, carry out necessary renovations, and arrange for adequate sanitary supplies for female officers/staff and visiting women service recipients at the bank's Head Office, Regional Offices, and all branches/sub-branches.

3. These instructions are issued under the authority granted by Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991, and shall come into force immediately.
