Dear Sir,

Regarding the avoidance of high expenses for luxurious vehicles, decoration, and other matters to reduce the operational expenses of the bank.

Reference is drawn to your attention to BRPD Circular Letter No. 18 dated 20 August 2019 on the aforementioned subject.

2. In accordance with clause 2(c) of the aforementioned Circular Letter, motorcars (MOTORCAR) valued at more than 50.00 Lakh Taka and Jeeps (JEEP) valued at more than 1 (One) Crore Taka shall not be purchased in the name of the Bank/Company.

3. Now, the following instructions are issued: Any type of standard modern motorcar with a maximum value of 50.00 Lakh Taka and any type of standard modern Jeep or Electric Motorcar/Microbus with a maximum value of 1 (One) Crore Taka may be purchased in the name of the Bank/Company for the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Additionally, vehicles similar to security vehicles used by various security agencies for the purpose of transporting VIPs may be purchased in the name of the Bank/Company.

4. Other instructions contained in BRPD Circular Letter No. 18/2019 and BRPD Circular Letter No. 48/2022 shall remain unchanged.

5. These instructions are issued under the powers conferred by Section 45 of the Banks Company Act, 1991, and shall come into force immediately.
