BRPD-2 Circular Letter No. 09: Exemption from Section 10 of Bank Company Act, 1991 for National Bank PLC regarding Ijarah of NBL Twin Towers
The Bangladesh Bank grants National Bank PLC an exemption from Section 10 of the Bank Company Act, 1991, allowing the bank to enter into an Ijarah agreement for one of the towers of the NBL Twin Towers. This exemption is issued under Circular Letter No. 09 dated January 21, 2026, in accordance with the bank's application and the regulator's approval.

Subject: Exemption from the provision of Section 10 of the Bank Company Act, 1991 (amended up to 2023) for National Bank PLC. to allow Ijarah of one of the towers of "NBL Twin Towers".
With reference to the application of National Bank PLC. dated 21 January 2026 and the subsequent approval of the competent authority vide Circular Letter No. 01 (First Series) of 2026 (Ref: 717/2026-3058), the following exemption is hereby granted for the purpose of the aforementioned Ijarah agreement:
