Dear Sir,

Re: Rehabilitation of Cold Storage Projects Established in Favour of Farmers.

Reference is invited to BRPD Circular No. 3, dated January 29, 2015, and BRPD Circular Letter No. 05, dated March 08, 2015.

Although the time limit for submitting applications for rescheduling/restructuring of non-performing loans under the facilities declared through the aforementioned circulars and circular letters for the rehabilitation of economically distressed cold storage projects has already expired, applications of this nature continue to be received from banks.

It has now been decided that applications for rescheduling/restructuring of non-performing loans of cold storage projects under the previously declared facilities may be submitted until March 31, 2016. Applications of this nature will not be considered after the said period. Furthermore, re-application for rescheduling/restructuring will not be considered for loan accounts that have already been rescheduled/restructured under the aforementioned facilities. It is to be noted that all other instructions contained in the aforementioned circulars and circular letters remain unchanged.

This instruction shall come into force immediately.
