BRPD Circular Letter No. 02: Limitation on Ex-Bangladesh travel of bank officials and employees

Dear Sir,

Reference is drawn to your attention regarding the subject of BRPD Circular Letter No.-28 dated 11 June 2024 concerning the limitation on overseas travel of bank-company employees and officers.

  1. Through the aforementioned circular letter, a ban was imposed on the overseas travel of bank-company employees and officers for attending authorized training/meetings/seminars/workshops/study tours. However, it was mentioned in the said circular letter that in certain cases, employees and officers may travel overseas with the approval of the competent authority of their respective bank in accordance with the bank's relevant policy.

  2. Now, in continuation of the aforementioned circular letter, the following instructions are hereby given: Employees and officers may travel overseas for official purposes with the approval of the competent authority of their respective bank in accordance with the bank's relevant policy.

  3. This instruction shall take effect immediately.

  4. This instruction is issued under the powers conferred by Section 45 of the Bank Companies Act, 1991.
