The entity formerly known as Social Investment Bank Limited has been renamed to Social Islami Bank Limited in the list of Scheduled Banks with effect from April 08, 2009. This change has been forwarded for publication as an official notification in the extra issue of the Bangladesh Gazette.

The ''Social Investment Bank Limited'' has been renamed as ''Social Islami Bank Limited'' in the list of Scheduled Banks with effect from April 08, 2009 (Chaitra 25, 1415). The issue has already been forwarded for publication as official notification in the extra issue of Bangladesh Gazette. Please acknowledge receipt.
