Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer All Scheduled Banks operating in Bangladesh.
Dear Sir,
Regarding the adoption of precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the bank's business centers.
We draw your attention to the guidelines issued through BRPD Circular No. 07, dated 5 July, 2015, regarding the assurance of security at bank branches, and BRPD Circular No. 09, dated 17 September, 2015, to further effectively and productively address IT-related risks.
In light of some undesirable incidents such as theft and dacoity that have occurred recently, as well as cybercrime, it is necessary to further strengthen the security of business centers of banks and companies. Specifically, due to the extended government holidays for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr this year, there is a need to further strengthen security arrangements.
In this context, you are hereby directed to ensure cyber security and overall security at all business centers of the bank, including the head office and branch offices, on the days of holidays declared for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr. In this regard, arrangements for monitoring may be made by the bank's security personnel if necessary.
Yours faithfully,
