To: Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer All Scheduled Banks operating in Bangladesh.

Dear Sir,

Regarding the continuation of banking operations in bank branches and the strengthening of safety measures in the context of the holy Eid-ul-Adha.

During the holy Eid-ul-Adha, a large number of traders gather at livestock markets, and a huge volume of cash transactions takes place. To make the financial transactions of traders safe and easier, it is hereby directed that necessary arrangements be made to continue banking operations until 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at bank branches located near livestock markets, and to provide reasonable allowances to the officers and employees on duty during the aforementioned period.

Furthermore, you are advised to exercise caution regarding security regulations at the bank's head office, branch offices, ATM booths, etc., on the holiday declared for the holy Eid-ul-Adha.
