BRPD Circular Letter No. 12: Submitting Statement of Suits Filed in Money Loan Courts and other Courts (BR-04) through EDW

Scheduled banks must submit the Statement of Suits Filed in Money Loan Courts and other Courts (Report BR-04) quarterly via the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) using the new Rationalized Input Template T_PS_Q_LAWS_SUITS, replacing the previous semi-annual submission schedule. This requirement takes effect starting with the July-September 2016 quarter, with reports due by the 15th of the following month. For the first two quarters (July-September 2016 and October-December 2016), banks are required to upload data to EDW and simultaneously send hard copies of the statements within the specified timeframe.

Dear Sir,

Regarding the submission of "Statement of Suits Filed in Money Loan Courts and other Courts (BR-04)" through Enterprize Data Warehouse (EDW).

Reference is drawn to your attention to BRPD Circular Letter No.-01 dated 01/01/2003 issued by the Banking Regulation and Policy Department and BRPD Circular No.-04 dated 25/01/2012.

In order to automate the banking sector of Bangladesh as a whole and to ensure proper compliance with BRPD Circular Letter No.-01/2003, BRPD Circular No.-04 dated 25/01/2012 was issued directing that certain reports to be submitted to this department be filled out in the Rationalized Input Template (RIT) and uploaded to the Enterprize Data Warehouse (EDW) through the Web Portal of Bangladesh Bank. You are advised to submit the information described in serial number 4 of Appendix-A attached to BRPD Circular Letter No.-01/2003, which is the Statement of Suits Filed in Money Loan Courts and other Courts (Report Number: BR-04), on a quarterly basis instead of semi-annually, using the newly prepared RIT.
The aforementioned report must be filled out using the newly prepared RIT named T_PS_Q_LAWS_SUITS and uploaded to EDW every quarter starting from the July-September/2016 quarter, by the 15th (fifteenth) day of the subsequent month.
Along with uploading the reports for the next two quarters (based on July-September/2016 and October-December/2016) to EDW, hard copies of the relevant reports must also be sent within the prescribed dates.
The RIT and related Manual can be downloaded from the Web Portal of Bangladesh Bank.
