BRPD Circular Letter No. 13 23 Bhadro 1423 Date: ----------------- 7 September 2016

Managing Director / Chief Executive All Scheduled Banks operating in Bangladesh.

Dear Sir,

Regarding precautionary measures to ensure the safety of banks' business centers.

We draw your attention to the guidelines issued through BRPD Circular No. 07, dated 5 July 2015, regarding the assurance of security in banks' branches, and BRPD Circular No. 09, dated 17 September 2015, regarding the more effective and productive handling of IT-related risks.

  1. In view of the extended government holidays this year on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, there is a need to strengthen security measures. Specifically, it is necessary to further strengthen the security of business centers of banks and companies to prevent any kind of undesirable incidents and in light of the increasing propensity for cybercrime.

  2. In this regard, you are hereby directed to ensure the cyber security as well as general security of the bank's head office, branch offices, ATM booths, etc., during the holidays declared for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. In this regard, banks may arrange for supervisory monitoring by bank directors if necessary.

Yours faithfully,

(Abu Farah Md. Nasir) General Manager Phone: 9530252 Dnbnr: B.R.P.D.C.M.N
