This directive, effective immediately, supersedes previous circulars and addresses the hardship caused to job seekers by such fee collection practices.
Ref: BRPD Circular Letter No. 15 Banking Regulation and Policy Department Bangladesh Bank Head Office Dhaka. December 29, 2015 BRPD Circular Letter No. 15 Date: -------------------- Poush 15, 1422 Managing Director/Chief Executive All Scheduled Banks operating in Bangladesh. Dear Sir, Regarding the collection of fees in the form of Pay Order/Bank Draft from applicants in the context of recruitment for bank jobs. We draw your attention to BRPD Circular Letter No. 11 issued on November 02, 2010, on the subject cited above. We request you to consider the issue of not collecting fees through the said circular letter, as the practice of paying fees in the form of Pay Order/Bank Draft for job applications is extremely difficult for job seekers. However, it is observed that some banks are still collecting fees in the form of Pay Order/Bank Draft from applicants for recruitment to bank jobs. It has now been decided that no fee shall be collected from applicants in the form of Pay Order/Bank Draft for bank job applications. This directive shall be implemented immediately. Yours faithfully, (Abu Farah Md. Naser) General Manager Phone: 9530252
