BRPD Circular Letter No. 23: Implementation of Programs for National Mourning Day 2023

In observance of the 48th Death Anniversary of the Great Architect of Independence, Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, "National Mourning Day 2023" is being observed. You are hereby directed to implement the following programs:

a) Lower the national flag at bank buildings (owned/rented) on August 15, 2023; b) Wear black badges for a month starting from August 1, 2023; c) Install special banners/festoons at bank buildings (owned/rented) on the occasion of National Mourning Day and pay tribute on August 15, 2023; d) Include the observance of National Mourning Day in the agenda of the bank's management committee meetings and take necessary measures to discuss it with importance; e) Organize a seminar on the life and work of Bangabandhu on August 15, 2023, or on a convenient date and time; f) Provide humanitarian aid/food assistance to the helpless and poor, considering the capacity of your own institution; g) Take necessary measures for tree planting and its conservation at the bank's own office or a convenient location according to the bank's own planning, and send SMS to customers inviting them to plant trees; h) If the bank has its own digital display boards, take necessary measures to display authorized films/speeches on the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, thereon; and

i) Ensure that photographs of all organized events are taken and displayed on the bank's own website.
