BRPD Circular Letter No. 28: Name change of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited to Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC
The Bangladesh Bank has officially changed the name of 'Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited' to 'Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC' in the list of scheduled banks, effective Monday, 16 Srabon 1430 (31 July 2023), pursuant to Rule 11C(1) of the Companies Act, 1994. This action is implemented via Notification No. BRPD(LS-1)/745(14)/2023-6071 dated 31 July 2023, which is attached for the information and necessary action of all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh.

In accordance with Rule 11C(1) of the Companies Act, 1994, the Bangladesh Bank has changed the name of 'Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited' to 'Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC' (in English: Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC.) in the list of scheduled banks, effective Monday, 16 Srabon 1430 (31 July 2023). A copy of the notification No. BRPD(LS-1)/745(14)/2023-6071 issued on 31 July 2023 regarding this matter is attached herewith for your information and necessary action.
