BRPD Circular Letter No. 40: Name change of NRB Commercial Bank Limited to NRBC Bank PLC
The Bangladesh Bank has officially changed the name of NRB Commercial Bank Limited to NRBC Bank PLC in the list of scheduled banks, effective from Sunday, 18 September 2023 (02 Ashwin 1430), pursuant to Section 11K(a) of the Companies Act, 1994. This directive requires all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to take necessary action based on the attached gazette notification No. BRPD (LS-1)/745(60)/2023-7719 issued on 17 September 2023.

Regarding the name change of "NRB Commercial Bank Limited" to "NRBC Bank PLC".
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 11K(a) of the Companies Act, 1994, the Bangladesh Bank has changed the name of 'NRB Commercial Bank Limited' to 'NRBC Bank PLC' ('NRBC Bank PLC') in the list of scheduled banks, effective from Sunday, 18 September 2023 (02 Ashwin 1430). A copy of the gazette notification No. BRPD (LS-1)/745(60)/2023-7719 issued on 17 September is attached herewith for your information and necessary action.
