BRPD Circular Letter No. 42: Loan Rescheduling of Leather Sector for the Purpose of Purchasing Raw Hides
The Bangladesh Bank extends the deadline for disbursing new loans to leather traders for purchasing raw hides from August 31, 2021, to October 31, 2021. This extension applies to loans issued for the purpose of purchasing hides from animals sacrificed during the 2021 Eid al-Adha festival. All other instructions contained in BRPD Circular No. 15/2021 dated July 13, 2021, remain unchanged.

We draw your attention to BRPD Circular No.-15, dated July 13, 2021, on the subject cited above.

In the said circular, it was decided that the time limit for providing new loans for the purpose of purchasing hides of animals sacrificed in 2021, without collecting any compromised amount other than the rescheduling of the outstanding principal of loans distributed for the purpose of purchasing hides of animals sacrificed in 2020, would be until August 31, 2021.

Now, the time limit for providing the aforementioned facility is extended until October 31, 2021. In addition, all other instructions mentioned in BRPD Circular No.-15/2021 will remain unchanged.
