The document instructs all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh to set the maximum age limit for new employee recruitment at 30 years, in accordance with government employment regulations. This directive aims to address inequalities in the recruitment sector and protect the social acceptability of banks by ensuring uniform adherence to official rules rather than individual bank discretion.
Banking Regulation and Policy Department Bangladesh Bank Head Office Dhaka. BRPD Circular No. 08 Date: ------------- To The Chief Executive Officers All Scheduled Banks operating in Bangladesh.
Dear Sir,
Maximum Age Limit for Bank Recruitment Applicants
It has recently been observed that banks are determining the maximum age limit for recruitment applicants based on their own discretion, without following government employment regulations in the recruitment of bank staff/employees. As a result, inequality in the recruitment sector has been observed, and the social acceptability of banks is being undermined. In this context, banks are directed to set the maximum age limit for new recruitment of bank staff/employees at 30 (thirty) years, in accordance with government regulations.
Please acknowledge receipt of this.
Yours faithfully,
