Dear Sir,
Regarding the Updated Guideline on ICT Security for Banks and Financial Institutions.
Reference is made to BRPD Circular No. 14 dated 23/10/2005 of the Banking Regulation and Policy Department.
In light of the extensive advancement and changes in ICT, as well as the increased multi-dimensional use of ICT in the banking sector, the 'Guideline on Information & Communication Technology for Banks and Financial Institutions, October 2005' has been updated. Considering the practical aspects of the guideline, its name has been changed to 'Guideline on ICT Security for Banks and Financial Institutions, 2010'. The aforementioned updated guideline will be available on the Bangladesh Bank website at www.bangladesh-bank.org or www.bangladeshbank.org.bd. Instructions are hereby given to download the guideline from the aforementioned website and follow/comply with it.
This directive will take effect immediately.
