Central Bank of Seychelles Directive on Operating Hours for Banks, DBS and SCU

Box 701, Victoria, Seychelles Telephone: [+248] 428 20 00 Ref: FSD/GEN/1 Fax: [+248] 432 36 65 E-mail: enquiries@cbs.sc Date: May 11, 2021 To All Commercial Banks, Development Bank of Seychelles (DBS) and the Seychelles Credit Union (SCU) Change in Operating Hours in light of Covid-19 In light of the increase in the number of positive COVID-19 cases locally, the Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS) wishes to advise that it has approved for a change in the operating hours for all banks, DBS and the SCU. To this end, as from May 12, 2021, until further notice, all banks, DBS and the SCU will operate during the approved operating hours outlined below: • On weekdays from 8.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Depending on their individual circumstances, banks, DBS and the SCU may decide to reduce their hours of operation and to keep some of their branches closed subject to the approval of CBS. Accordingly, banks, DBS and the SCU should ensure that the general public is informed of the changes in their opening hours or closure of their respective branches, by means of displaying a notice at a conspicuous place at their premises. Moreover, banks, DBS and the SCU are required to comply with all reporting requirement of CBS and may submit the daily returns as soon as completed, being earlier than the current stipulated deadline.
