Central Bank of Seychelles Directive on Operating Hours for Banks, DBS and SCU
The Central Bank of Seychelles has mandated a temporary reduction in operating hours for all commercial banks, the Development Bank of Seychelles (DBS), and the Seychelles Credit Union (SCU) to mitigate local COVID-19 transmission. Effective May 12, 2021, these institutions must operate weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., display conspicuous public notices regarding branch closures or adjusted hours, and may submit daily regulatory returns ahead of the standard deadline. Individual entities retain the discretion to further reduce operational hours or close specific branches, provided they obtain prior approval from the Central Bank.
