Fiji National Provident Fund Decree 2011
The President of the Republic of Fiji issued Decree No. 52 to reform the governance and operation of the Fiji National Provident Fund and secure retirement savings for workers. The legislation mandates contributions, establishes member entitlements and withdrawal conditions, and introduces regulated retirement income products and special death benefits. It further strengthens enforcement mechanisms, imposes prudential supervision by the Reserve Bank of Fiji, and repeals the previous Fiji National Provident Fund Act.
