This guide explains what a company should do to comply with Div 2 of Pt 2J.1 (the buy-back provisions) of the Corporations Act, including the procedures that a company needs to follow in conducting a buy-back and the information that must be disclosed to shareholders. It also explains how ASIC may exercise its powers to grant relief from certain requirements to obtain shareholder approval.
