The Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) issued Instruction No. 294 to amend Article 4, Section 1, Item b of CVM Instruction No. 287. This amendment specifies that the official registration of an open company may be suspended or cancelled via a notice published in the Official Gazette of the Union. The instruction entered into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
CVM INSTRUCTION NO. 294, OF OCTOBER 30, 1998.
Amends CVM Instruction No. 287, of August 7, 1998, which provides for the suspension and ex officio cancellation of the registration of an open company.
THE PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION - CVM makes public that the Collegiate Body, in a meeting held on this date, based on Article 21, § 6, item I, of Law No. 6,385, of December 7, 1976, HAS RESOLVED to issue the following Instruction:
Article 1. Item "b" of § 1 of Article 4 of CVM Instruction No. 287, of August 7, 1998, shall enter into force with the following wording:
"Article 4 ................................................................................... ................................................................................... §1 .......................................................................................... b) by notice published in the Official Gazette of the Union."
Article 2. This Instruction enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Union.
