Cancellation of MAS Notices FAA-N18 and FAA-N21 on Technology Risk Management and Cyber Hygiene

The Monetary Authority of Singapore issued this notice under the Financial Advisers Act 2001 to formally cancel two prior regulatory instruments. MAS Notice FAA-N18 on Technology Risk Management and MAS Notice FAA-N21 on Cyber Hygiene are both rescinded with effect from 10 May 2024. This cancellation removes the previous specific requirements previously established by these notices for financial advisers.

MAS Notices FAA-N18, FAA-N21 (Cancellation) 2024 Issue Date: 9 May 2024 CANCELLATION OF NOTICES ON TECHNOLOGY RISK MANAGEMENT AND ON CYBER HYGIENE ISSUED UNDER THE FINANCIAL ADVISERS ACT 2001

  1. This Notice is issued under section 67(1) and (4) of the Financial Advisers Act 2001.
  2. The following Notices are cancelled with effect from 10 May 2024: (a) MAS Notice FAA-N18 “Notice on Technology Risk Management” dated 21 June 2013; (b) MAS Notice FAA-N21 “Notice on Cyber Hygiene” dated 6 August 2019.
