Regulation to amend Regulation 31-103 respecting Registration Requirements, Exemptions and Ongoing Registrant Obligations
The Autorité des marchés financiers, approved by the Minister of Finance, amends Regulation 31-103 to facilitate the transition of Québec mutual fund dealers to the new self-regulatory organization. The amendments modify registration and exemption requirements to exclude Québec-based mutual fund dealers from certain national rules while establishing equivalent local standards and automatic membership in the new organization. These changes take effect on January 1, 2023, ensuring that dealers registered in Québec by December 31, 2022, automatically become members of the designated organization without further formality.
