The Financial Services Commission has proposed amendments to the Regulation on Financial Investment Business to allow foreign bond investors to use a special nominee account (SNA). This SNA would enable them to place aggregated orders for the purchase and sale of listed bonds. The special nominee account mechanism is already available to foreign stock investors.
