Central Bank of Jordan Circular on Semi-Annual RBA Reporting for AML/CFT

The Central Bank of Jordan mandates banks operating in the Kingdom to submit two Excel files regarding the Risk-Based Approach (RBA) for anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing compliance on a semi-annual basis. Banks must provide data as of December 31 and June 30, with submissions due by January 31 and July 31 of each year, starting from December 31, 2016. This requirement applies to all banks and is directed to their compliance managers.

Circular to Banks Operating in the Kingdom

Greetings,

Further to our circular No. (13752/4/2/10) dated 25/10/2016, regarding the implementation of the Risk-Based Approach (RBA) in the field of combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

We request that you fill out the two attached files in Excel format in Arabic (which will be sent via email to your Compliance Managers) on a semi-annual basis based on data from 12/31 and 6/30, and that you provide them to us by no later than 1/31 and 7/31 of each year, starting from 31/12/2016.
