Central Bank of Tunisia Circular to Banks and Approved Intermediaries No. 2018-02 dated March 16, 2018
The Central Bank of Tunisia introduces new Tunisian coins of fifty, twenty, and ten millimes into circulation with legal tender status and discharge power, effective March 19, 2018. These new coins share the same alloy, weight, diameter, edge, designs, and text as currently circulating coins of the same denomination, except for the year stamp, which is 2017-1438. The new coins circulate concurrently with existing coins.

CIRCULAR TO BANKS AND APPROVED INTERMEDIARIES No. 2018-02
Subject: Issuance of new Tunisian coins of fifty millimes, twenty millimes, and ten millimes.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia,
Having regard to Law No. 2016-35 of April 25, 2016, establishing the status of the Central Bank of Tunisia, and in particular its Articles 13, 14, 15, and Article 63, paragraph 3;
Having regard to the resolution of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Tunisia dated February 1, 2017, deciding on the creation and issuance of Tunisian coins of fifty millimes, twenty millimes, and ten millimes;
DECIDES:
Article 1: The Central Bank of Tunisia will issue, as of March 19, 2018, three new Tunisian coins of fifty millimes, twenty millimes, and ten millimes, having legal tender status and discharge power.
Article 2: The coins of fifty millimes, twenty millimes, and ten millimes present the same characteristics (alloy, weight, diameter, edge, designs, and text) as those of the same denomination currently in circulation, with the exception of the year stamp, which is "2017-1438".
These new coins of fifty millimes, twenty millimes, and ten millimes will circulate concurrently with the coins currently in circulation.
