CIEX No. 12/2021: Schedule for Remitting Payment Instrument Transaction Information to the Central Bank of Bolivia
The Central Bank of Bolivia mandates that clearing and settlement chambers, payment service companies, and mobile wallet issuers submit transaction information according to a specific schedule: data generated from the 1st to the 15th of the month must be sent by the 20th, while data from the 16th to the end of the month must be sent by the 5th of the following month. Consolidated information for the previous month is required with submissions due by the 5th of each month. If a deadline falls on a holiday or weekend, the information must be submitted on the next business day. This regulation applies starting in June 2021 for information generated in May 2021, requiring the use of previously agreed formats and channels and notification to sistemadepagos@bcb.gob.bo.

Gentlemen:
The Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB), within the framework of what is established in subsection f) of Article 71 of the Regulation on Payment Services, Electronic Payment Instruments, Compensation and Settlement, approved with BCB Board of Directors Resolution No. 069/2021 of April 27, 2021, requests that Clearing and Settlement Chambers, Payment Service Companies, and Financial Intermediation Entities issuing mobile wallets comply with the schedule for remitting information concerning transactions with payment instruments as established below:
Information Generation Period | Information Submission Deadline 1st to 15th of the month | Until the 20th of the month 16th to end of month | Until the 5th of the following month
When the indicated dates fall on a holiday or weekend, the information must be submitted on the next business day.
Submissions made until the 5th of each month must contain the consolidated information of the previous month.

The formats and channels established for the remission of information, previously agreed upon with the Issuing Entity, must be maintained, as well as notifying the sending to the email address sistemadepagos@bcb.gob.bo. This provision will apply starting from the month of June 2021 for the submission of information generated in May 2021.
