CIEX No. 16/2023: First Quarter Contribution to the Savings Protection Fund
The Central Bank of Bolivia will automatically debit the first quarter 2023 contribution to the Savings Protection Fund from the current and reserve accounts of financial intermediation entities on April 17, 2023. The amount is calculated as 1.25 per thousand of the average daily balance of public liabilities during the quarter. Entities are requested to ensure sufficient funds are available in their accounts to cover this deduction.

Gentlemen:
The Central Bank of Bolivia notifies all financial intermediation entities that on April 17, 2023, in application of Article 518 of Law No. 393 on Financial Services of August 21, 2013, it will carry out the automatic debit of the fee corresponding to the first quarter of 2023 for the Savings Protection Fund (contribution from financial intermediation entities) from their Current and Reserve Account or Reserve Account in national and foreign currency. The debited amount will be equivalent to one point two five per thousand (1.25‰) of the average daily balance of liabilities to the public during the aforementioned quarter.
In this regard, we will appreciate your making the respective provision of funds.
