CIEX No. 18/2020: Receipt of Correspondence by Electronic Means During the Health Emergency

The Central Bank of Bolivia mandates that financial entities submit correspondence electronically via institutional email during the health emergency. CPVIS operations and payment orders must be sent to tramites@bcb.gob.bo and serviciosfinancieros@bcb.gob.bo, while general documentation and reports not involving fund movements must be sent to tramites@bcb.gob.bo. Procedures for other matters not covered by this circular remain governed by External Circular CIEX No. 14/2020.

FROM: GENERAL MANAGEMENT FINANCIAL ENTITIES MANAGEMENT TO: FINANCIAL ENTITIES SUBJECT: RECEIPT OF CORRESPONDENCE BY ELECTRONIC MEANS DURING THE HEALTH EMERGENCY

Ladies and Gentlemen:

The Central Bank of Bolivia communicates that, in consideration of the mobility restrictions established in Supreme Decrees No. 4196, No. 4199, and No. 4200 of March 17, 21, and 25, 2020, which aim to mitigate the expansion of COVID-19 in our country, effective immediately, the receipt of correspondence from Financial Entities will be carried out as follows:

  1. CPVIS Operations and Payment Orders: Via institutional email attaching the note with authorized signatures to the addresses:

    tramites@bcb.gob.bo serviciosfinancieros@bcb.gob.bo

  2. Submission of general documentation and/or reports that do not generate fund movements: Via institutional email attaching the note, documents, and respective reports to the address:

    tramites@bcb.gob.bo

  3. Procedures not mentioned in this provision must comply with what is established in External Circular CIEX No. 14/2020 of March 18, 2020.
