CIEX No. 22/2020: Receipt of Procedures at the Central Bank of Bolivia

The Central Bank of Bolivia mandates that public entities, private entities, financial system participants, and the general public submit procedures via the official email address tramitesbcb.gob.bo or in person at the Single Correspondence Window (VUC) between 08:00 and 14:00 on business days, effective May 11, 2020. This circular temporarily suspends paragraphs 1 and 1 of Annex 1 of Circulars CIEX No. 8/2020 and CIEX No. 9/2020, while keeping paragraphs 2, 3, and 4 of those circulars in force. Additionally, Circular Externa CIEX No. 14/2020 of March 18, 2020, is declared null and void.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

In compliance with the provisions established in Supreme Decrees No. 4218 and No. 4229 of April 14 and 29, 2020, respectively, the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) communicates that starting from May 11, 2020, the following provisions must be complied with by public, private, financial system entities, and the general citizenry requiring attention from the BCB:

  1. In accordance with Article 13 of Supreme Decree No. 4218, the BCB communicates that the official email address: tramitesbcb.gob.bo is enabled as its official contact point and electronic channel for the receipt of procedures supported digitally.

  2. Likewise, in accordance with Article 12 of Supreme Decree No. 4218, procedures on paper support will be received at the BCB through the Single Correspondence Window (VUC) and for procedures on digital support, via the aforementioned email address, on all business days from 08:00 to 14:00. Procedure requests for operations will be received within this schedule to effect their processing on the same day.

  3. Temporarily and until the referred Declaration is withdrawn, paragraphs 1 and Annex 1 of External Circulars CIEX No. 8/2020 and CIEX No. 9/2020 of February 28, 2020, are suspended.

  4. Paragraphs 2, 3, and 4 of the aforementioned external circulars remain in force.
