CIEX No. 30/2021: Information Capture Systems for the Central Bank of Bolivia

The Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) mandates Financial Intermediation Entities to update their information capture systems to versions 4.49 and 2.10 for interest rates, exchange rates, and the Housing Price Index, effective September 21, 2021. Specifically, entities must submit interest and exchange rate data using the new version starting September 21, 2021, with data from the previous day, and remit the September 2021 Housing Price Index by October 15, 2021. Two specific cooperatives, "Virgen de los Remedios" R.L. and "San Francisco Solano" R.L., are granted an exceptional deadline to submit interest and exchange rate data for the period of September 20–27 by September 28, 2021.

Gentlemen:

The Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) notifies Financial Intermediation Entities that it will make available new versions of the Information Capture Systems, incorporating the "Virgen de los Remedios" R.L. Corporate Savings and Credit Cooperative and the "San Francisco Solano" R.L. Open Savings and Credit Cooperative, according to the following details:

  1. System for Capturing Operations for interest rates and exchange rates (Version 4.49). Additionally, the update includes the modification established in the Account Manual of the Financial System Supervision Authority (ASFI) related to the incorporation of sub-accounts for reprogrammed loans to financial entities in the country.
  2. Information Capture System for the Housing Price Index (Version 2.10).

The new versions of the systems will be available on the ASFI intranet starting September 16, 2021, and will enter into force on September 21, 2021.

Therefore, in the submission of information, the following must be considered: a) Interest rate and exchange rate information must be sent to the BCB with the new version 4.49 starting September 21, 2021, with information from the previous day, and b) Housing Price Index information corresponding to the month of September 2021 must be submitted by October 15, 2021, using the new version 2.10.

Exceptionally, the "Virgen de los Remedios" R.L. Corporate Savings and Credit Cooperative and the "San Francisco Solano" R.L. Open Savings and Credit Cooperative must submit interest rate and exchange rate information for September 20 to 27 by September 28, 2021.
