CIEX No. 37/2020: Reception of Procedures at the Central Bank of Bolivia

The Central Bank of Bolivia mandates that public entities, private entities, financial system participants, and the general public submit digital procedures via the official email address tramitesbcb.gob.bo and paper procedures through the Single Correspondence Window (VUC) between 07:30 and 13:00 on business days. This measure, effective July 20, 2020, temporarily suspends paragraphs 1 and 1 of Annex 1 of External Circulars CIEX No. 8/2020 and CIEX No. 9/2020, while maintaining the validity of their remaining paragraphs. Additionally, External Circular CIEX No. 35/2020 is declared null and void.

BANCO CENTRAL DE BOLIVIA ESTADO PLURINACIONAL DE BOLIVIA EXTERNAL CIRCULAR La Paz, July 20, 2020 CIEX No. 37/2020 FROM: GENERAL MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATION MANAGEMENT TO: PUBLIC SECTOR ENTITIES PRIVATE ENTITIES AND THE FINANCIAL SYSTEM THE GENERAL PUBLIC SUBJECT: RECEPTION OF PROCEDURES AT THE BCB

Ladies and Gentlemen:

In compliance with the provisions established in Supreme Decree No. 4276 of June 26, 2020; Ministerial Resolution No. 255/20 of June 30, 2020; and Communication 37/2020 of July 14, 2020 from the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security; the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) announces that starting July 20, 2020, public entities, private entities, the financial system, and the general public requiring attention for a procedure through the BCB must comply with the following provisions:

  1. In accordance with what is stated in Article 13 of Supreme Decree No. 4218, the BCB announces that the official email address: tramitesbcb.gob.bo is enabled as the official contact point and electronic channel for the reception of digital support procedures.

  2. Likewise, in accordance with what is provided in Article 12 of Supreme Decree No. 4218, paper support procedures will be received at the BCB through the Single Correspondence Window (VUC); and for digital support procedures, via the aforementioned email address, on all business days from 07:30 to 13:00. Procedure requests for operation will be received within this schedule to be processed on the same day.

  3. Temporarily, paragraph 1 and Annex 1 of External Circulars CIEX No. 8/2020 and CIEX No. 9/2020 of February 28, 2020 are suspended.

  4. Paragraphs 2, 3, and 4 of the aforementioned external circulars remain in force.

  5. External Circular CIEX No. 35/2020 of July 15, 2020 is declared null and void.
