CIEX No. 4/2023: Fourth Quarter Contribution to the Saver Protection Fund
The Central Bank of Bolivia will automatically debit financial intermediation entities for the fourth quarter of 2022 contribution to the Saver Protection Fund on January 16, 2023. The debit amount equals 1.25 per thousand (1.25‰) of the average daily balance of public obligations during that quarter, deducted from national and foreign currency reserve and current accounts. Entities are requested to ensure sufficient funds are available in their accounts to cover this deduction.

Gentlemen:
The Central Bank of Bolivia notifies all financial intermediation entities that on January 16, 2023, in application of Article 518 of Financial Services Law No. 393 of August 21, 2013, it will effect the automatic debit of the fee corresponding to the fourth quarter of 2022 to the Saver Protection Fund (contribution from financial intermediation entities) from their Current and Reserve Account or Reserve Account in national and foreign currency. The debited amount will be equivalent to one point two five per thousand (1.25‰) of the average daily balance of obligations with the public during the aforementioned quarter.
In this regard, we will appreciate your making the respective provision of funds.
