CIEX No. 41/2020: External Circulars with Digital Signature
The Central Bank of Bolivia mandates that all External Circulars be published with a digital signature on its website and distributed exclusively via the official email addresses of public entities, private entities, and the financial system. Entities that have not yet registered their official email addresses with the Bank or on their web portals are required to communicate them to the Bank's administrative email account. This measure replaces physical paper distribution to comply with biosecurity measures and information technology regulations.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
In compliance with Law No. 164 General Law of Information and Communication Technologies, the provisions established in Articles 12 and 13 of Supreme Decree No. 4218 of April 14, 2020, and the Regulation of Authorized Signatures of the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) approved by Board Resolution No. 058/2020 of June 9, 2020; it is communicated that from this date, the BCB External Circulars will be published with a Digital Signature in the section: https://www.bcb.gob.bo/?q=circulares-externas
Likewise, considering biosecurity measures, the need to reduce paper distribution through in-person means, and using Information and Communication Technologies, the distribution of External Circulars will be carried out exclusively through the official email of each Entity. Public or private entities that have not yet registered this means on their WEB portals or with the BCB may communicate their official email address to the account tramites@bcb.gob.bo.
