The Central Bank of Bolivia mandates that all public entities, private organizations, financial system participants, and the general public must submit procedures via the official email address tramites@bcb.gob.bo or the Web portal starting September 1, 2020. Paper-based procedures are accepted exclusively through the Single Correspondence Window (VUC) during business hours from 07:30 to 15:00 on weekdays, with same-day processing available for operational requests submitted within this window. The bank temporarily suspends specific paragraphs and annexes from external circulars CIEX No. 8/2020 and CIEX No. 9/2020, while maintaining the validity of other cited paragraphs and explicitly revoking external circular CIEX No. 37/2020.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
In compliance with the provisions established in Supreme Decree No. 4314 of August 27, 2020; Ministerial Resolution No. 347/20; and Communication 49/2020 of August 31, 2020 from the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Prevision; the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) communicates that starting September 1, 2020, public entities, private entities, the financial system, and the general public requiring attention for a procedure at the BCB must comply with the following provisions:
In accordance with Article 13 of Supreme Decree No. 4218, the BCB communicates that the official email address: tramites@bcb.gob.bo is enabled as the official contact point and electronic channel for the reception of procedures in digital format.
Likewise, in accordance with Article 12 of Supreme Decree No. 4218, procedures in paper format will be received at the BCB through the Single Correspondence Window (VUC); and for procedures in digital format, via the indicated email address and the Web portal, on all business days from 07:30 to 15:00. Procedure requests for operations will be received within this schedule to effect their processing on the same day.
Temporarily, paragraph 1 and Annex 1 of the external circulars CIEX No. 8/2020 and CIEX No. 9/2020 of February 28, 2020 are suspended.

Paragraphs 2, 3, and 4 of the aforementioned external circulars remain in force.
External Circular CIEX No. 37/2020 of July 20, 2020 is rendered null and void.
