CIEX No. 8/2023: Suspension of the Integrated Payment Clearing System (LIP)
The Central Bank of Bolivia suspends the Integrated Payment Clearing System (LIP), including the Hybrid Clearing Module and Deferred Clearing Module, on Sunday, January 22, 2023, from 00:00 to 23:59 hours for a core database technology update. Services are restored at 00:01 hours on Monday, January 23, 2023. Participants are advised to take necessary precautions regarding the submission and receipt of Electronic Fund Transfer Orders through the Deferred Clearing Module during this period.

Gentlemen:
The Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) notifies all participants of the Integrated Payment Clearing System (LIP) that on Sunday, January 22, 2023, a Technology Update of the BCB's Core Informix Database Engine will take place. Consequently, the service of the LIP System, Hybrid Clearing Module – MLH, and Deferred Clearing Module – MLD will be suspended from 00:00 Hrs. until 23:59 Hrs. on that day, with services being restored starting at 00:01 on Monday, January 23, 2023.
For the above reasons, participants are advised to take the corresponding precautions for the submission and receipt of Electronic Fund Transfer Orders (OETF) through the Deferred Clearing Module of the LIP System.
