The National Credit Regulator notifies registered credit providers of the specific debt counsellors who have taken over consumers from inactive, lapsed, or de-registered practitioners. All de-registered debt counsellors are no longer authorized to provide debt counselling services, and credit providers must amend their records based on the transferred consumer lists provided by the new counsellors. The circular identifies the specific registration numbers and names of both the outgoing and incoming debt counsellors involved in these transfers.
CIRCULAR 01 OF 2021 The purpose of this Circular is to notify credit providers(CPs) registered with the National Credit Regulator(NCR) of the details of the registered debt counsellors(DCs) who took over consumers from the inactive DCs as a result of lapsed registration or voluntary de-registration or de-registration by the National Consumer Tribunal.
