Circular 2010/1

The Central Bank of Libya requires commercial banks and the Libyan Foreign Bank to verify the authenticity of international shipping documents presented for foreign currency transfers. Banks are instructed to subscribe to the International Chamber of Commerce’s maritime office information network to facilitate this verification. This directive aims to mitigate risks arising from the submission of false documents for money transfer operations.
