Circular 44/2010 — Modifies Circular 2019/95

The Bank of Mexico modifies Annex 12 of Circular 2019/95 to establish the specific calculation periods for the liability admission limit and the investment regime for foreign currency operations for multiple banking institutions from January 20, 2011, through January 15, 2014. The circular mandates that these defined start and end dates be used for the calculations referenced in numeral M.13.42. The regulation entered into force on January 20, 2011.

TO MULTIPLE BANKING INSTITUTIONS:

SUBJECT: MODIFICATIONS TO CIRCULAR 2019/95

The Bank of Mexico, with the objective of continuing to promote the sound development of the financial system and to inform these institutions of the calculation periods for the liability admission limit and the investment regime for foreign currency operations for 2011 to 2013, based on Article 28 of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, sixth and seventh paragraphs; Articles 24, 26, 32, and 33 of the Bank of Mexico Law; Article 22 of the Law for Transparency and Orderly Management of Financial Services; as well as Article 8, fourth and seventh paragraphs, Article 10, Section I of Article 17, and Section IV of Article 25 Bis 1 of the Internal Regulations of the Bank of Mexico, which grant it the authority to participate in the issuance of provisions through the Central Banking Provisions Directorate and the Regulation and Supervision Directorate, as well as the Sole Provision of the Agreement on the Attachment of the Administrative Units of the Bank of Mexico, Sections III and XII, has resolved to modify Annex 12 of Circular 2019/95, to read as follows:

TRANSITORY PROVISION

SINGLE. This Circular shall enter into force on January 20, 2011.
