Circular D4 2000/3 Regulation on Own Funds of Securities Firms (Coordinated Version)
The Belgian Banking and Financial Commission confirms that the ministerial decree of August 3, 2000, approving the July 4, 2000 amendments to the own funds regulations for credit institutions and securities firms, has been published in the Belgian Monitor. The Commission has prepared an updated coordinated version of these regulations and associated commentaries, which are available on its website and in brochure form. A revised report on the own funds regulation for securities firms is currently being prepared.

Regulation on Own Funds of Securities Firms

By my circular letter D4/EB/1147 of July 24 last, I transmitted to you, for information and pending approval by the competent ministers, the Commission's decree of July 4, 2000, amending the decrees of December 5, 1995, relating to the own funds of credit institutions and securities firms, as well as a brief commentary on the modifications made by this decree.
The amending decree of the Commission has since been approved by the Ministers of Finance and the Economy by ministerial decree of August 3, 2000, and published in the Belgian Monitor of August 15, 2000.
I also inform you that the Commission's services have prepared an updated coordinated version of the regulations relating to the own funds of credit institutions (decree, commentary) and securities firms (decree, commentary) (unofficial coordination), as well as the associated commentary. These texts can be consulted on the website of the Banking and Financial Commission (www.cbf.be) and will also be published in brochure form. An adaptation of the report on the regulation relating to the own funds of securities firms is currently being prepared.
