Circular Dated April 4, 2020 Regarding Expanding the Scope of the Industrial Private Sector Initiative
The Central Bank of Egypt has expanded its industrial private sector initiative to now include companies in the industrial, agricultural, and agro-processing sectors with annual revenues exceeding one billion Egyptian pounds. This adjustment aims to stimulate the national economy and provide broader support to businesses during the current circumstances. Financial institutions are instructed to implement this policy change effective immediately.

بالإشارة إلى مبادرة البنك المركزي المصري المؤرخة 12 ديسمبر 2019 والكتب الدورية اللاحقة لها التي تم بموجبها إتاحة مبلغ 100 مليار جنيه بسعر عائد سنوي 8% (عائد بسيط متناقص) عن طريق البنوك لتستخدمها في منح تسهيلات ائتمانية للشركات العاملة في القطاع الخاص الصناعي والمجال الزراعي والتصنيع الزراعي، والتي يبلغ حجم أعمالها أو إيراداتها السنوية من 50 مليون جنيه وحتى مليار جنيه. With reference to the Central Bank of Egypt's initiative dated December 12, 2019, and its subsequent circulars, under which 100 billion Egyptian pounds were made available at an 8% annual interest rate (simple declining interest) through banks to grant credit facilities to companies operating in the industrial private sector, agriculture, and agro-processing, whose annual business volume or revenue ranges from 50 million to one billion Egyptian pounds.
واستكمالاً لما سبق وبغرض تحفيز الاقتصاد المصري في ظل الظروف الحالية، ولتقديم الدعم لأكبر عدد من الشركات من خلال توسيع قاعدة المستفيدين من المبادرة، فقد تقرر السماح لكافة الشركات العاملة في القطاع الخاص الصناعي والمجال الزراعي والتصنيع الزراعي التي يزيد حجم أعمالها أو إيراداتها السنوية عن مليار جنيه الاستفادة من المبادرة المشار إليها، وذلك بهدف تحقيق الأهداف المرجوة منها. In continuation of the above, and for the purpose of stimulating the Egyptian economy under the current circumstances, and to provide support to the largest number of companies by expanding the base of beneficiaries of the initiative, it has been decided to allow all companies operating in the industrial private sector, agriculture, and agro-processing whose annual business volume or revenue exceeds one billion Egyptian pounds to benefit from the aforementioned initiative, with the aim of achieving its intended goals.
